Buzzards Bay is one of the most beautiful coastal waterways on the East Coast. But it's under constant threat from dangers like nitrogen pollution, oil spills, and disappearing forests and wetlands.
You can help us save Buzzards Bay by donating to our upcoming Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on Sunday, October 6. Our team will be doing our part by joining hundreds of others in cycling around the Bay to raise funds for and awareness of the need to restore and protect clean water in our community.
One donation at a time, over 13 years, riders like us have raised nearly a million dollars to fight pollution, permanently protect natural areas, harness the power of science, and increase access to the outdoors for all people.
Through this challenging event, we're hoping to raise funds for Coalition's conservation, research, advocacy, education work. Your donation will truly make a difference in helping to protect clean water for all of us - and for future generations!
In addition, this year the Bourne Rail Trail Blazers' ride will be the proverbial "win/win" as, thanks to a group of donors, small in number and great in generosity, the Friends of the Bourne Rail Trail will receive a dollar-for-dollar match of the funds raised by our riders. In other words, for every $1 a Blazer raises through the Watershed Ride, a matching $1 gift will be made to the Friends of the Bourne Rail Trail. Not only will you be helping preserve the beauty and health of Buzzards Bay, you will be providing important assistance to the effort to create the Bourne Rail Trail!
Thank you for your support!
P.S. The Watershed Ride finish line is located at the Swope Center in Woods Hole and the public is invited to come cheer us on from 2-5pm. Hope to see you there!
