If you’re taking the plunge at the Buzzards Bay Swim - or just considering it - join us at the finish line at DCR's Fort Phoenix State Reservation Beach in Fairhaven, MA for an open water swim clinic and event orientation on Saturday, June 15 at 10:30AM. 

From 10:30 to 11, Buzzards Bay Swim Event Managers and YMCA Southcoast Swim Coaches (and long-time Buzzards Bay Swimmers) will offer an overview of the event, first-hand knowledge of the course, and tips and strategies for sighting in open water and swimming near kayakers and paddleboards. From 11 to 12, we'll jump in Buzzards Bay for a practice swim together. This is an opportune time to try out your wetsuit or other gear in open water and gain experience swimming part of the course. 

This swim clinic is open to those registered – or considering registering – for the Buzzards Bay Swim on June 22. Bring your goggles, wetsuit (highly recommended if water is below 67 degrees), towel, and questions!
